Saving Private Ryan

Saving Private Ryan is a movie, set during the D-Day invasion, and revolves around Captain Joe Miller's (Tom Hanks) squad and the rescue for Private James Ryan (Matt Damon). Captain Miller leads his troop into German territory, seeking to rescue Private Ryan, whom they don't know is still dead or alive.

The story behind Ryan is that three of his brothers have been killed during the first invasion of the war. In order to save his mother from total grief, it was decided that they had to get Private Ryan out of the battlefields alive.

The movie is due to be released in the US on the 24th July 1998.
